I wanted one of the sets to evoke a design from a previous Space theme, so I borrowed the bubble cockpit arrangement common in Blacktron II sets (a nice parallel, something from one theme sequel being used in yet another theme sequel). Trans-red 8x8 octagonal domes don't exist but I had some white ones.
The gray harness fit perfectly the first time I tried it and I was also pleased to come up with a different arrangement for the controls, which fit perfectly in the minifig's hands when the cockpit is closed. This ship is intended as a simple yet slighty sturdier and longer-range transport for base to base travel.
